MFC Tournaments
MoMMA Fighting Championship (MFC) Tournaments are fictional tournaments where the MFC fighters compete against each other, based on the training and strategy set by the MoMMA managers (players).
MFC Tournaments consist of seasonal qualifiers, playoffs and the championship.
Qualifiers
These are weekly MoMMA Fight Nights that are announced by MoMMA from time to time for a limited period (season). Qualifiers are an essential part of MFC fighters' progress and prerequisite to transitioning to the next belt level.
Playoffs
At the end of Qualifiers, fighters who come out successfully from their groups will attend playoffs.
Championship
Fighters ranked in top 16 at the end of Playoffs (i.e. 16 fighters with highest points) will be eligible for the MoMMA Fighting Championship.
During Qualifiers, each week, you can book a fight for 2 of the MFC fighters in your team.
To book the fight, you need to register your selected fighter under the event of that week.
Don't forget to set your fight strategy for your selected fighter to increase your chances of winning. A good tip is to check out your opponent and tailor your strategy according to their weaknesses.
During the Qualifiers and Playoffs, fighters collect points based on their success at the events in accordance with the table below.
Finish means either a submission, a TKO or KO.
The Championship round will be in knock out elimination style and fighters will be ranked based on their performance at the end of each fight.
Your fighters will gain experience out of each fight night at the tournaments, regardless of the result of the fight. Just like in real life. We learn things even from the battles we lose!
On the other hand, your fighters need to be healthy to join the tournaments. Injured fighters can't fight until they are fully recovered.
Your fighters will get tired and lose HP during the fights. The amount of HP will depend on the result of the fight as well as the number of rounds the fight takes.
If you registered your fighter for an event and your fighter is in a training camp at the time of the event, the training camp will be cancelled and you will not gain any XP out of the camp - so make sure to time your trainings around the fight nights.
MoMMA Fight Nights (MFN) take place on every Wednesday at 23:59 UTC. Managers are required to book fights for their fighters by registering them at MFNs before the registration deadline. In some cases, MoMMA may sign up fighters automatically.
Registration can be done through the MFC tournament page or under each weekly tournament.
Registration deadline for Qualifiers is Saturday at 23:59 UTC.
Once your fighter is registered for an MFN, the system will automatically appoint an opponent to your fighter by next day. You can then set your fighter's strategy until the start of the MFN. MoMMA reserves the right to change the matchups at any time.
Managers can set the fight strategy on the fighter's profile page.
Fighters who are in training camps at gyms on the date of registration or at the time of the MFC tournament are not eligible to compete in the tournaments.
Each fight at Qualifiers and Playoffs will consist of 3 rounds; and 5 rounds at the Championship level.
Fighters can only fight within their own weight class.
Fights can end in (i) decision, (ii) knock-out or (iii) submission and will be decided by MoMMA's algorithm based on the participating MFC fighters' skills, attributes and the fight strategy set up by the MoMMA Manager. Managers can appeal and request review of the results within 48 hours after the results are revealed. The appeal should be made directly to MoMMA using the contact form.
Fighters participating to the tournaments will get XP bonus as explained above.
In the event two or more fighters are tied on points before the MFC Championship, they will be ranked based on the following rules:
- the fighter who fought more will have priority;
- if fighters have the same number of fights; the fighter who has the most wins will have priority; and
- if fighters have the same number of wins, the fighter who has the most finishes will have priority.
Following these rules, if they still share the same points, fighters will have a tiebreaker fight(s) among each other before the start of the Championship.
