MFC Tournaments

MoMMA Fighting Championship (MFC) Tournaments are fictional tournaments where the MFC fighters compete against each other, based on the training and strategy set by the MoMMA managers (players).

Tournament Stages

MFC Tournaments consist of seasonal qualifiers, playoffs and the championship.

Qualifiers

These are weekly MoMMA Fight Nights that are announced by MoMMA from time to time for a limited period (season). Qualifiers are an essential part of MFC fighters' progress and prerequisite to transitioning to the next belt level.

Playoffs

At the end of Qualifiers, fighters who come out successfully from their groups will attend playoffs.

Championship

Fighters ranked in top 16 at the end of Playoffs (i.e. 16 fighters with highest points) will be eligible for the MoMMA Fighting Championship.

Join the MoMMA Fight Night

During Qualifiers, each week, you can book a fight for 2 of the MFC fighters in your team.

To book the fight, you need to register your selected fighter under the event of that week.

Don't forget to set your fight strategy for your selected fighter to increase your chances of winning. A good tip is to check out your opponent and tailor your strategy according to their weaknesses.

Scoring

During the Qualifiers and Playoffs, fighters collect points based on their success at the events in accordance with the table below.

Getting Started with the MoMMA Game

Getting started with the MoMMA Game is easy: create an account and join the fun! You don’t need to have a crypto wallet and it’s free to play.

1. Once you sign up, you will receive a starter pack.

At the current phase of the Beta program (OG Cohort II), your starter pack will include

1 million Silver KombatCoins, which is the in-game currency you will use to purchase in-game items and train your fighters.
a rookie MFC fighter, which is the first fighter you'll have in your team. You will be able to recruit more fighters as you continue in the game.

2. It's now time to create and shape your team.

Choose a team name. This is the name other users will see in the game. You can create a custom name or choose one of the random team names the game suggests for you.

| If you don't like the first suggestion, keep clicking on "Create Random Team" until you land on a name you like.

Team name must be at least 3 characters long and contain alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9) and periods (".").
Team names shouldn't impersonate someone else and must adhere to Terms of Service.

After your name, choose your team logo among the many pictures we offer you.

| Don't worry if you end up choosing a name or logo that you are not too sure about. Later you will help the option to change it by clicking on team logo on "My Team"

PowerUps

Accepted Answer

PowerUps are a great way to boost your scores in tournaments and your fighters' attributes. They also unlock designated leagues for you to compete in the weekly pick'em tournaments.

There are currently three types of PowerUps: (1) Strike PowerUps, (2) BlockAsset PowerUps and (3) MoMMA PowerUps.

Strike PowerUps: To unlock Strike PowerUps, you need to connect your Dapper wallet and own at least three Strike Moments. Once you connect your wallet, you will automatically be granted Strike PowerUps that are based on the specific Strike Moments in your wallet.
BlockAsset PowerUps: To unlock BlockAsset PowerUps, you need to connect your Solana wallet and own at least one BlockAsset. Once you connect your wallet, you will automatically be granted BlockAsset PowerUps that are based on the specific BlockAsset MMA Fighter NFTs in your wallet.
MoMMA PowerUps: You can obtain these powerups through the game either as rewards or by buying them using SKC (coming soon).

How the points & scoring works

Here is the breakdown of the base points you will receive at each tournament: :

If the fighter you pick

wins the fight: + 5 points
loses the fight: + 1 point
is disqualified: - 4 points (you lose points)
misses the weight: - 2 points (you lose points)

|| The points are accumulated if more than one of the scenarios above applies. If your fighter is disqualified, he is considered as having lost the fight. So you get (1 - 4) = -3 points

If the fight ends in draw or no contest, you will receive + 2 points.

If your pick wins the "Performance of the Night", you will receive an additional + 3 points (on top of the + 5 points you receive for winning the fight) and 50,000 Silver KombatCoins. If your pick wins the "Fight of the Night", you will receive an additional + 5 points (on top of the + 5 points you receive for winning the fight) and 50,000 Silver KombatCoins. If your pick loses the "Fight of the Night", you will receive an additional + 5 points (on top of the + 1 point you receive after losing the fight) and 50,000 Silver KombatCoins.

| Simply making a pick for either fighter in the "Fight of the Night" gives you an additional + 5 points If the fight is cancelled, you don’t get any points.
